"Our ultimate success is realized when the young people in our care reach their full potential as successful adults."
Tosi Ogunyoku
Tosi entered the foster care system as a two-year-old following the death of her father. Through the kindness and care of her foster families, Tosi eventually graduated from Sacramento State University. She's now pursuing a career in criminal justice.
Monique Rawlins
Monique and her brother spent five years with Triad. They were placed initially in a foster home for 2 1/2 years and then separated when their foster mother died. Monique was moved to the Martin family home, where she lived and thrived until graduating from high school and emancipating. Today Monique is married and has a child. She and her family own a home in the Sacramento area. They visit the Martins and Triad a few times a year.
Tanya Kelso
Tanya’s grandmother was granted custody of her due to her mother’s drug abuse and neglect. She was placed with Triad foster mother Sonya Hastings. After a short placement, she was reunified with her grandmother. About 18 months later she returned to Sonya’s home. This stable, positive environment helped Tanya graduate high school with a 4.0 GPA. She is currently attending her second semester at Tennessee State University, majoring in Psychology.
