Triad has approximately 100 foster homes in Northern California that serve more than 250 children; in a single year, 1,000 children call Triad “home” for at least one night. Twelve years ago, the average age of a Triad child was 16 1/2 years; today the average age is just under eight years. This trend provides us an opportunity to make a difference earlier in a child’s life.
Triad is often asked to accommodate special-need situations: providing help for families with children as young as one day old or providing care for young single mothers with infants. Triad Family Services works closely with the county’s plan for natural family reunification.
