Triad's
Mission Statement

Triad Family Services is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit corporation that has provided foster care services since 1988. Our agency is committed to ensuring children and families have the resources needed to establish, maintain, or rebuild permanent families where children are protected and nurtured.

Triad provides foster care services through offices in Sacramento and Oakland and also serves the Antioch and Modesto regions. We place children and adolescents of all ages (birth to 21) in supportive foster homes, including those needing placement with large sibling groups and teen parents with infants.

Our mission is to provide carefully planned, effective, and supportive services to children and families involved in the foster care system. We address foster care through a three-pronged approach—intervention, maintenance, and reunification. Our team of dedicated resource parents and skilled professionals is committed to providing the tools and support children need to heal, grow, and thrive into healthy adulthood.

TRUST & RESPECT: Triad’s foundation is built upon trust and respect.  We believe in building relationships and respect with each of our Resource Parents, Triad Social Workers, clients, and the community that is based on these ideals.

FAMILY: Family is first. Triad provides high-quality homes to provide services to Child Protective Services, Family Court, and Probation Departments. Triad’s team of parents and professionals are dedicated to providing a warm, nurturing environment necessary for young people to thrive and feel confident about themselves and their futures. One of our primary goals is to protect our assets, which is our Resource families.

SERVICES: Some of the resources provided by Triad include, but are not limited to, regular visits to the home by a Triad Social Worker, C-PReP (Child Placement Resource Plan) meetings to assess needs and direct resources, Independent Living Planning (ILP), visitation monitoring and support, and 24-hour on-call availability.

As stated in the introduction, part of our initial task with each new child is to develop and implement a treatment plan based on a thorough assessment of that child’s needs, utilizing agency resources and services as well as identifying resources available in the community.

ADDITIONAL RESOURCES: Other resources for treatment of and assistance to foster children are available throughout the County for Mental Health Services. Triad assumes an active role in ensuring the needs of children are met. Mental health services may include specialized individual or group counseling, psychiatric treatment, hospitalization for stabilization purposes, Wrap-Around Services, Regional Centers, and higher levels of care, such as residential treatment.
