What is Resource Family Parent?

Recent changes with California law has changed the term from foster parent to resource family parent.  Triad Family Service is approved to now approve and manage resource families.

A resource family parent is any individual, couple, or family who wants to provide care to a related or unrelated child (or children) who is under the jurisdiction of the juvenile court, or otherwise in the care of a county child welfare agency or probation department. A resource parent is responsible for taking care of the needs and well being of the foster child(or children) while they are placed in their home.

If you have the desire to help a child through a difficult time, perhaps you can be the parent who makes the difference in their lives…
